1. Jardin des Tuileries Christmas market in Paris (1st)
The Christmas market in Jardin des Tuileries is one of the best known and largest Christmas markets in Paris. With a huge Ferris wheel, various fairground attractions, champagne bar, steaming copper barrels with traditional onion soup or hot mulled wine and a gastronomic market with French products. Also a lot of traditional handicrafts and many gift ideas. And of course Santa Claus! This is the most popular Christmas market in Paris with millions of visitors every year. Located just next to the Louvre and formerly the Champs-Élysées Christmas market.

Another fun Christmas market in Paris, this time at the foot of the Eiffel Tower! The Christmas village is located on the Quai Jacques Chirac. Stroll between the 60 small chalets and other food trucks with regional products. Have a warm mulled wine and enjoy the beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. One of the best Christmas markets in Paris and perhaps the most photogenic?

Christmas market in the heart of Paris’ well-known business district, La Défense. This Christmas market in Paris has been in existence since 1995 with more than 13,000 m² of Christmas fun and no fewer than 350 themed chalets. This makes it one of the largest Christmas markets in Paris where you can easily spend an entire evening strolling. You will find an extensive selection of gifts, high-quality jewelry and leather goods. Or traditional Alsatian specialties and delicious paella. A picturesque Christmas market in Paris at the foot of Notre-Dame with some 30 exhibitors who share their passion for clothing & accessories, French crafts and luxury gourmet food. Here too, entertainment for children and the presence of Santa Claus, with or without a vin chaud in hand. And occasionally there are also musical performances. This extremely cozy Christmas market has already been named ‘the most charming Christmas market in Paris’.

5. Christmas market in Montmartre – Place des Abbesses (18th)
Buying Christmas gifts and drinking a good mulled wine? This is possible again this year at the Christmas market in Montmartre, located next to the famous metro station Place des Abbesses. A beautiful, traditional and cozy Christmas market in Paris on one of the most beautiful squares of Montmartre. Including handmade scarves, jewelry and children’s toys. You can also taste traditional dishes such as escargot, fried mushrooms or raclette. There is a fun merry-go-round for children and at the weekend there is usually a visit from Santa Claus. Definitely recommended! Tip: enjoy a glass of wine in the on-site champagne bar.

6. Alsatian Christmas Market in front of Gare de l’Est (10th)
Every year in December, the square in front of the Gare de l’Est is transformed into a large Alsatian Christmas market (the oldest Alsatian Christmas market outside the region). The menu this year will once again include culinary specialities and delicacies: pretzels, gingerbread, cakes, chocolates, pasta, foie gras, wines, cognac and delicious charcuterie. Want to celebrate Christmas like in Alsace without leaving Paris? This year, why not visit the Gare de l’Est!

7. Saint-Germain des Prés Christmas market in Paris (6th)
The atmospheric Christmas market on the Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris returns every year with about 40 cozy chalets. In addition to the usual hot mulled wine and roasted chestnuts, you can also enjoy artisan macarons, candied chestnuts, caviar, smoked salmon, truffles and foie gras. Also a nice place for leather goods, jewelry and handmade items. Afterwards, be sure to enjoy the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, an extremely pleasant neighborhood with many nice terraces, bookshops, art galleries and antique shops.
